How often should I get a dental check up?

Ideally, we should all have our teeth cleaned once per year, however the American Dental Association still advocates for check-ups every 6 months.  Check ups typically include full mouth dental x-rays, thorough oral examination as well as oral cancer screening exams.

How often should I get my teeth cleaned?

The health of your gum tissue will determine how often each patient needs cleaning although the ADA still recommends cleanings every 6 months.

At what age should a child first see a dentist?

The first dental visit should be scheduled by your child’s first birthday to have his/her teeth and gums checked.  Further follow up is recommended every 6 months to prevent cavities and/or any other dental problems.
